Viburnum odoratissimum, also known as Sweet Viburnum or Fragrant Viburnum, is a perennial shrub highly prized for its luxuriant foliage and aromatic blooms. Originating from Asia, this adaptable plant is a favorite in gardens for its beauty and versatility. Its shiny, deep green leaves are oval-shaped and densely packed in an orderly manner, forming a lush and colorful canopy. During the spring season, it bears clusters of tiny white flowers with a delightful sweet scent, attracting bees and butterflies. These blooms are succeeded by small red berries that mature into black ones. Thriving in full sun to partial shade and preferring well-drained soil, it is responsive to pruning and shaping. It typically grows to a height of 3-4 meters and spreads 2 meters wide.
