PROTEA 'HONEYGLOW'

Protea ‘Honeyglow’ (Protea repens) is a striking evergreen shrub admired for its warm honey-yellow and creamy blooms. Flowering prolifically during autumn, its nectar-rich flowers contrast beautifully against narrow grey-green foliage, while the cooler months can bring attractive deep-red tones to the leaves.

Growing to approximately 2.5 metres high and 2 metres wide, Protea ‘Honeyglow’ makes a stunning feature plant and is also ideal for informal hedging, screening, coastal gardens and water-wise landscapes. The long-lasting flowers are excellent for cutting and creating beautiful floral arrangements.

Plant in a sunny, open position with excellent airflow and well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Water regularly while establishing, then reduce watering once the plant becomes established. Avoid waterlogged soil and high-phosphorus fertilisers. Lightly prune after flowering to encourage dense, healthy growth and an abundance of future blooms.
