Pellaea rotundifolia, commonly known as the Button Fern is a compact, evergreen fern native to New Zealand. It features graceful, arching fronds lined with small, round, leathery leaflets that resemble buttons. Typically growing 30–45 cm tall and wide, the Button Fern is prized for its tidy appearance and ease of care. It thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions, making it an excellent choice for indoor spaces. The plant prefers well-drained soil and moderate watering, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Pellaea rotundifolia is non-toxic to pets and people, making it a safe and attractive addition to homes, offices, or shaded garden beds.
