Genista Yellow Imp, this small evergreen shrub has yellow pea shaped flowers in late winter and spring. Fast growing and is ideal for low hedges. They grow well in poor or good soils, growing to around 3 metres in height and 2 metres wide. Shaping and pruning is a breeze with these plants. Plant in full sun for best results and will guarantee an explosion of colour. Genista Monspessulana is listed as a noxious weed in NSW, Victoria, south west Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania. Genista x spachiana 'Yellow Imp' is not listed as a noxious weed. Grows to a height of 3m high and 2m wide.
